The short version: Everything you inspect in Blobwise stays on your Mac. Blobwise has no account, no analytics, and no telemetry. The app itself makes no network requests — purchases and billing are handled entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store.

What Blobwise does with your data

Blobwise is a native macOS app that identifies, decodes, and explains technical artifacts (tokens, JWTs, certificates, logs, payloads, and similar) entirely on your Mac. Decoding runs locally. The AI explanation runs on Apple's on-device Foundation Models — also locally. None of the text you paste, drop, or read from your clipboard is transmitted anywhere.

Network requests: none from the app

Blobwise makes no network requests for its core functionality. Decoding, analysis, and AI explanations all run on-device. The only network activity associated with Blobwise is handled by the operating system and Apple's frameworks:

Purchases & licensing are handled by Apple's StoreKit framework, which communicates directly with Apple's servers. The app itself never sees or transmits your payment information.
App updates are delivered through the Mac App Store, also by Apple.

If you only use the free trial, the app makes no external network connections at all.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store. Apple acts as the merchant of record and is responsible for payment processing, tax collection, and receipts. I do not receive or store your payment-card details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how they handle that data.

This website

This site is a single static page with no analytics, no advertising, no cookies, and no third-party trackers. I don't know who visits.

No tracking, no profiles

I don't build user profiles, I don't sell or share data, and there's nothing to opt out of because there's nothing being collected from your use of the app itself.

Children

Blobwise is a developer tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

If this policy changes, I'll update the date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
